Center City is a consortium of six charter schools throughout the District of Columbia. Once a consortium of Catholic schools, Center City converted the summer of 2008 into public charter schools. Center City retains its history by teaching a broad liberal arts and humanities curriculum, Prekindergarten - Eighth Grade, under the core principle of “Cura Personalis” – care of the whole person: mind, body and spirit. We commit to the intellectual, physical, moral and emotional well-being of each scholar and believe every child can learn, lead and serve. Mission The Center City Public Charter Schools (Center City PCS) empower our children for success through a rigorous academic program and strong character education while challenging students to pursue excellence in scholarship, character and service in order to develop the skills necessary to both serve and lead others in the 21st century.
