Company Overview
RAE's Core Business:
RAE offers a number of services that support our core mission of Technology Transition -- from technology roadmapping, business case analysis, and technology transition agreement negotiation to risk mitigation planning and portfolio design. We do what is needed at the start and throughout the transition process to ensure success. RAE does not develop technologies or represent commercial technology developers; therefore we are able to maintain an ‘honest broker’ position, assuring our clients of independent expert advice. We are ‘source agnostic’ — able to work with technologies from industry, government laboratories, academia, and foreign entities. Whether the new technology is weapons management systems, advanced sensors, sophisticated software, novel power sources, or state of the art communications systems, the RAE capabilities for discovery, negotiation and planning are unmatched. History: Technology transition is the core business focus of RAE. Since 2000 RAE has provided end-to-end support to the transition of various technology solutions into government Programs of Record. RAE’s customer focus, coupled with its solutions orientation and process driven approach, has proven to be the hallmark of our success. RAE has assembled a highly capable team with substantial technical acumen, business knowledge, and deep familiarity with government operational and acquisition practices. Our knowledge and experience enable us to work with providers, subject matter experts, acquisition managers, resource sponsors, and end users to develop and evaluate requirements, assess technical maturity, identify and resolve technical issues, perform business and programmatic due diligence, and broker strong Technology Transition Agreements. RAE has participated in technology transitions that have encompassed many technical disciplines: communications networks, materials, software, electronics, and power, among others. Through ongoing projects, RAE continues to demonstrate an ability to understand the issues and problems of technology users, and to communicate effectively with technology developers so that optimum value can be realized for the developer, acquisition authorities, and most importantly, the warfighter. RAE has created a set of core capabilities and process tools that has shaped and driven successful technology transitions in various government agencies, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Navy and Marine Corps, Defense Intelligence Agency, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Armed Forces Medical Intelligence Agency, U.S. State Department, the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency, and the Department of Energy. |
