Company Overview
Helping People with Disabilities Lead Better Lives:
Ever since, Ruth Birch, a parent who was unable to acquire public school services for her son with a learning disability, founded Grafton in 1958, parents have come to expect an exceptional level of care. Children and adults with autism or other cognitive disabilities; parents who may not have found success elsewhere, have come to Grafton. We understand your concerns, how difficult it is to find the appropriate help for your child and how frustrating a process it can be. Grafton has had much success helping children and adults with disabilities to lead fuller lives. All of our treatment and care starts with the needs of the individual. A team of dedicated professionals, utilizing Grafton’s unique holistic approach to care, creates an appropriate, individualized care plan, and follow-through methodology. Grafton serves clients from all over Virginia and neighboring states at our four facilities in the Shenandoah Valley and Richmond regions. A History of Responsiveness: From its beginnings fifty years ago, Grafton has grown to provide a continuum of services to children, youth and adults with a range of disabilities, and to the families and professionals who love and support them. Throughout its history, Grafton has maintained a philosophy of flexibility and responsiveness to individuals as well as their families and the communities we serve. Challenged by localities to meet the needs of residents in their home communities, Grafton works with local agencies to provide better services and to learn more about people’s needs. In response, we are continually restructuring our service delivery systems, devising the latest treatment techniques, recognized by the industry as innovative and successful. Employment: Grafton is a leading provider of services for individuals with complex disabilities and psychiatric disorders. We offer a variety of rewarding opportunities to those committed to helping people with disabilities lead better lives. Positions are available for all levels of the human service professionals. By joining Grafton’s team of professionals, you will be able to provide the building blocks for successful treatment and education. Grafton provides full time employees with excellent health care benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a great 401(k) plan. We invite you to find out more about joining our organization. |
